The British Colostomy Association is the national registered charity which represents the interests of people with a colostomy and which provides support, reassurance and practical information to ostomates and anyone who is about to have a colostomy.

The Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Support Group is a UK registered charity whose primary aim is to help people who have to undergo surgery which involves the removal of their colon (colectomy) and the creation of either an ileostomy or an ileo-anal pouch.

The Urostomy Association of Great Britain and Ireland is a registered charity (270600) and was formed to assist people who are about to undergo, or who have undergone surgery resulting in a urinary diversion of any kind. Eg Urostomy, Mitrofanoff, Orthoptic bladder and supra-pubic catheter.
Formed in 1971, UA has local branches around the UK and Ireland. Full and associate membership is available, for a small annual subscription. Members receive "The UA Journal" 3 times a year, which includes articles, letter and information on appliances and their supply.
